ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
MEETING AT WHANGAREI [by telegraph—own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Sunday The ninth annual report of the .Y.M.C.A. Division of the St. John Ambulance Brigade Overseas, presented at the annual meeting of the Whangarei branch of th(? organisation, showed that the work during the year had been very successful. Dr. S. H. Ward presided over a large attendance. The work of the transport section w as well sustained, the number of cases transported being 155, with a total mileage of 42-13, and 370 cases were attended on piiblic duty. The holders of the Ward Cup are C. Knew, F. Kearne, H. Franklin and Corporal J. Walker, while the Fleming Cup is held by K. Given, W. Lister, H. "resswood and E, Miller. The following appointments were made:—Station sergeant, S. E. Lowe; Public duty N.C.0., A. Serpent; divisional secretary, J. F. Doel; librarian, W. Wilson. '
