FIRE AT MATAMATA
HARDWARE STOCK SUFFERS [from our own correspondent] MATAMATA, Saturday The Matainata Fire Brigade received n call at six o'clock this morning to a fire in tho premises of D. McL. Wallace, Limited, Tui Street, Matamata. The outbreak, which was quickly suppressed by the brigade, had apparently started imder tho counter in the hardware department. Although there was a large volume of smoke, little damage was done by tho flames, but a large amount of hardware stock was affected by smoke and water.
