FAREWELL TO NURSE
APPRECIATION OF MAORIS Nurse M. Jamieson, who for the past 10 years has been district native nurse among the Maoris in the Thames Hospital Board district, left Paoroa last week. On tho eve of her departure for England, tho Maoris of the district assembled at the Paeroa Pa and expressed their thanks to the nurse for tho help she had given them during her stay in Paeroa. Mr. Robert Gaze, on behalf of the Maoris, presented Miss Jamieson with a travelling rug and suitcase. Mr. V. Nicholls, who acted as interpreter, wished the nurse a pleasant trip and expressed the good wishes of Maoris and pakehas toward the guest.
