NEW ANZAC STAMPS
RETURNED SOLDIERS' WORK New Zealand's commemorative Anzac stamps, which are to be issued on April 27, are being printed by the Australian Commonwealth Note and Stamp Printing Branch, and the work has been carried out in a particularly fitting way. A New Zealand'returned soldier was associated with the artist in preparing the original design, and the Commonwealth Government Printer has informed the Director-General of the Post /Office, Mr. G. McNamara, that every process associated with the production of these stamps has been carried out by returned soldiers. Returned men prepared the plates for the distinctive design, which involved the intaglio engraving, and are also doing the printing. Even the inkmaking was done by a returned soldier.
