CONTESTS AT DUNEDIN [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN. Monday In the final of the ladies' singles in the South Island and Otago lawn tennis championships. Miss D. Miller (Oamaru) beat Miss T. Poole (Christchurch). 6 —l. 6—o. The final of the men's singles resulted in E. A. Pearce beating G. McDougall, 4—6. 6—l. 6—3. The ladies' doubles was won by Miss D. Miller and Miss M. Pattison, who defeated Mrs. T. J. Rawlinson and Miss R. Barton, 6—3. 4—6. 6—2. In the veterans' doubles. C. G. White and E. D. Trend defeated R. S. nnd S. N. Brown. 6—l, 6—4. PLAY AT WELLINGTON [by telegraph—press association] WELLINGTON. Monday Play in the Wellington Tennis Association's Easter tournament to-day resulted:— Men's Singles.—Semi-final: Bedford beat Charters, 3—6, 6—3, 6—4; Roussell beat Coombe, o—6,0 —6, C —2, (>—4 Women's Singles.—Semi-final: Mrs. Latham beat Miss M. Howe, G —4, 6—3; Mrs. N. Dickson beat Miss Fernie, 6—3, 6—4. Women's .Doubles.—Final: Miss D. Nicholls and Mrs. Dickson beat Mrs. Latham and Miss Fernie, 6 —2, 6 —3. Miss Nicholls did not play in the singles.
