TRIPLE MURDER TRIAL
DEATH PENALTY IMPOSED TWO BROTHERS FOUND GUILTY / _____ VANCOUVER, April 10 A message from Dorchester, New Brunswick, states that Arthur Bannister, aged 19, and Daniel Bannister, aged 20, brothers, have been sentenced to be hanged for the murder of Philip Lake, his common law wife, and his child, in connection with the abduction of a second baby of the murdered couple for their mother to use as her own in an extortion plot against two business men. Lake's body was found in the ruins of a burned shack, and his wife was clubbed to death in a snowdrift outside. The baby was frozen to death in her arms Tho mother of the Bannister brothers was sentenced to three years' imprisonment.
