SYDNEY HORSE SALES
NEW ZEALAND CLYDESDALES RECORD CROWD AT SHOW , SYDNEY, April 11 The Royal Show since Tuesday has been favoured with ideal weather, and to-day's crowd numbered nearly 134,000. This is the biggest crowd in the history of the show. The horse sales on Thursday included a number of Ctydesdale stallions and mares, for which the demand was brisk, particularly for younger stallions. The top price of 252 guineas was paid for Mr. A. Stokes' "Noble Douglas," a bay colt imported from New Zealand. The next best price was 200 guineas paid for Mrs. B. Miller's "Kenwyn Maggie," also imported from New Zealand. A Clydesdale mare sold on account of Mr. J. M. Smith, North Otago, realised/145 guineas.
