THAMES VALLEY PROGRESS [by telegraph—own* correspondent] TE AROHA. Saturday A successful year's working was revealed at a meeting of the Thames valley Agricultural and Pastoral Society. The secretary, Mr. E. A. Brtice, reported that the entry fees for the past year constituted a record for over U years. Total receipts for the year already amounted to being £35 in excess of expenditure. Several other sums were still to come to hand. By the time ail monies due were received it was" expected that the bank overdraft would be liquidated artd the new year would start with a credit balance of £35. Considering that last year had started a deficit of £.'3B, the position was very satisfactory. The president, Mr. W. A. Clark, and Mr. J. Ward were appointed delegates to attend the conference of kindred bodies to be held at Morrinsyille 011 April 21. for the purpose of fixing show dates throughout South Auckland for the coming year , recognition of his services to the societv the secretary was voted a bonus of £2o.
