RELIEF SCHEME
A largely-attended meeting; of the Birkenhead Unemployed Association, held recently, carried the following resolution:—"That this meeting of unemployed men in the Borough of Birkenhead calls upon the Government to abolish the No 5 scheme immediately in the North Shore area of Auckland; and, further, that the secretary get in touch with all other kindred associations and ask them to support the above resolution and act in a like manner."
