FAMOUS BRITISH ADMIRAL AND WARTIME NAVAL LEADER LAID TO REST The funeral of, the late Admiral of the Fleet, Earl Beatty, passing the top of Whitehall in Trafalgar Square on the way to St. Paul's Cathedral. Dense crowds lined the route of the procession. The pall-bearers were Admirals of the Fleet Sir Henry Oliver, Sir Osmond de Brock, Sir Roger Keyes, Sir Reginald Tyrwhitt and Sir Frederick Field; Admirala Sir Ernie Chatfield, Sir William Goodenough and Sir Walter Cowan; Field-Marshal the Earl of and Marshal of the Royal Air Force Viscount Trenchard.
