Bulb Planting
In the planting of bulbs care should taken to see that tho bulb sits on the of the hole, and it will be - found that the trowel is a much better implement to use than the dibber. "When the dibber is used the bulb is liable to hang halfway as is shown in the upper illustration. The lower Bpace
becoming filled with water during winter may start the rotting of the bulb, and in any case is not conducive to «ood growth. The lower sketch shows a bulb correctly planted, the roots being able to take hold of tho soil immediately they emerge.
