KEEPING TINS BRIGHT
Tinware that has become dull through neglect can be restored by wiping with a piece of cloth wrung out in hot water in which a large piece of washing soda has been dissolved. Should the metal fail to respond to this treatment rub it with a slice of raw onion, then polish with a dry, soft cloth. To clean greasy tin utensils, rub them with a little turpentine. This will remove all grease and stains.
