MATCH AT HAMILTON [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday A two days' cricket match between Auckland Colts and a Hamilton eleven was commenced in fine weather at Seddon Park, Hamilton, to-day. Auckland batted first and scored 147 runs (Scott 40. Walters 37, McMahon 25, Donaldson 20). Dabb took three wickets for 13 runs, Lissette two for 38, Skect two for 9, Comer one for 38, Harding one for 9. Hamilton had made two runs without loss when stumps were drawn. TAUPIRI BEATS TE AROHA [from our own correspondent] TAUPIRI, Friday The Taupiri Cricket Club defeated Te Aroha on the latter's ground by 40 runs on the first innings. Scores:—Taupiri: First innings, 153 (Blake 50, Braddock 23, Hay cock 29). Te Aroha: First innings, 113 (Pickett 29, Rigden 19). Second innings, 80 for nine wickets (Scott 13, Taylor 13). Bowling for Te Aroha: Raeburn took five wickets for 37, O'Dea. two for 30, McKashan one for 14, Rigden two for 6. For Taupiri: Taylor took five for 37. Braddock two for 25, Knight one for 4, Wilson one for 10, Tremain one for 5.
