WORK OF ASSOCIATION The 58th annual report of the Auckland Scripture Gift Association, presented to the annual meeting this week, showed that the income for the year had been £79,. including £l4 in donations from Sunday schools in the suburbs and country districts and £59 from city subscribers. The expenditure on Bibles, reward books and tracts had been £62, and there was a deficit of £32 on the year's working. « The honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. John Banbury, stated that the association had received many letters from teachers of Sunday schools in isolated country districts, expressing thanks for its help. Donations from Sunday schools showed an increase, but less had been received from city subscribers, some of whom apparently preferred to support the of tlfcir own denominations among children.
