UNPAID CROWN RATES
GRANT FOR TAKAPUNA Advice that a grant of £490 has been made to compensate the council for losses of rates on Crown properties was received by the Takapuna Borough Council on Thursday through Mr. W J. Lyon, M.P. The grant would be very welcome, commented the Mayor, Mr. J. Guiniven. It would to some extent compensate the oouncil for losses which ran into several thousands of pounds.
