SALARIES RESTORED
i DECISION AT NEWMARKET The restoration of wages and salaries <o£ the Newmarket Borough Council's Btaff to then former level was decided •upon by the Borough Council last night. The Legal and Finance Committee recommended that the change be given effect to as from April 1, in accordance with the council's resolution of June'last year. The chairman, Mr. R.* E. Newport, said the satisfactory financial position justified the recommendation, which would restore the full 10 per cent cut. The proposal was supported by all members. *" -
