GERMANY AND JAPAN

TALK OF. AN ALLIANCE - BERLIN'S OFFICIAL DENIAL Times. C.iMe LONDON. April 7 The Berlin correspondent of the Times says that although revived reports of a military alliance between Germany and Japan are not taken very seriously in well-informed circles, the possibility is not excluded that the excellent relations between the two Powers have led to an understanding that they should at least not hamper each other in diplomatic or other undertakings. Questions of mutual support in time of war may'have boon discussed, but it is emphasised that neither country has anything to gain by embroiling itself automatically in disputes to which the policies of the other may lead. The Foreign Ministry in Berlin denies the existence of any such agreement, and the feeling is that if one exists it has been arranged on the German side by tho Nazi party rather than by the Wilholmstrasse.
