NOISY MOTOR-BOATS
COMPLAINTS AT HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL'S POSITION [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday „ Legal advice was received by the Hamilton Borough Council last evening that it had no jurisdiction respecting tho control of motor-boats on the Waikato River, within tho borough boundaries, and had no power to check the nuisance complained of arising out of tho noise caused by some of the boats. The council was advised that control was vested in the Governor-Gen-eral. It was suggested that no difficulty should bo experienced in the matter of having a suitable Gazette notice issued by His Excellency, which would achieve the object of the council, the abatement of tho nuisance.
