NOTE ISSUE HIGHER FALL IN STATE DEPOSITS LOWER TOTAL OF EXCHANGE [BY TELEGRAPH PRESS .ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON!, 'Wednesday Tho Reserve Bank return for the week ended Monday, April 6, was gazetted to-night. Tho statement is balanced at £29,.343,601, otr £.'357,110 less than at the close of the previous week. Tho rising tendency the note issue has recently shown continues, there having been a further increase of £116,036 last week. Tho deposits of the trading banks are £132,186 higher, but thoso of tho Government have fallen by £510,649. The two remaining classes of liabilities are also lower, by £41,074 and £53,609 respectively. The sterling exchange reserve is lower by £330,004 than it was a week previously. Tho level of investments is £24,354 lower, tho two remaining items on tho assets side being slightly less also.
