BIRKENHEAD BOROUGH
The Birkenhead Borough Council decided last night to make further representations for reltef in connection with unpaid rates on State mortgaged properties, which represented a loss of over £IOOO to the borough. The Mayor, Mr. jG. Mills, and Mr. J. Prickett were appointed to the North Shore Drainage Committee, on the understanding that no expenditure was to be incurred without the consent of the council.
