CHRISTIAN CONVENTION

EASTER GATHERING CAMP AT NGARUAWAHIA The 16th annual Christian Convention is to be held at Ngaruawahia during Easter. It is anticipated that over 700, a record attendance, will be present from all parts of the North Island, and while permanent buildings, the property of the convention, will accommodate most of the women who will attend, the men will be housed under canvas on the banks of the Waikato. An attractive programme has been arranged by the camp committee, and among the speakers wdl be three prominent visitors from overseas, Mr. J. Edwin Orr, Dr. Charles J. Rolls and the Rev. E. L. Gunasekera. Addresses will also be given by Mr. W. J. Mains honorary principal of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute, and two evaDfelists of the same institution, the Rev. ohn. Bissett and Mr. John Miller. Mr. Orr. a young Irish evangelist, has travelled extensively, and is the author of four books. Dr. Rolls, who was formerly dean of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute, is at present engaged as home director for Australia and New Zealand of the Sudan Interior Mission. Mr. Gunasekera is a member of the Indian Christian Mission. A number of missionaries on furlough from various mission fields of the world will also attend the convention, during which a special missionary meeting will be held.
