appointments made Six appointments to its staff were made by the Auckland Hospital Board at a special meeting yesterday. A total of 273 applications had been received for the post of an additional fees collector and these had been reduced to six by the Fees Committee. After interviewing the six preferred applicants, the board decided to make two appointments instead of one, and selected Mr. T. O'Callaghan and Mr. H. Ihompson, both of Auckland. There were 59 applications for tbfl post of assistant accountant, and Mr. J. Gage, of Auckland, was appointed. Mr. J. E. Hanna, of Raetilii. and Mr. N. S. Henry, of New Plymouth, wero appointed to the staff of dental surgeons, from four applicants. Mr. R» Erdman, of Onehunga, was appointed dental mechanic. There were four applicants for this position.
