weather. The Katikati, Tauranga. Rangitaiki and Whakatane Clubs were represented. The ranges were 500 yds and 600 yds. 10 shots being fired at each distance. Teams of 10 men competed, the scores of the highest seven being counted. The match resulted m a win for Tauranga. the holders of the shield. Total points were as follows ' Tauranga. 637; Rangitaiki, 629; Katikati, 617; Whakatane. 566. Rifleman W. Moore, of Rangitaiki, with 97 points, made the highest score of the day.
