The winner was J. Clark (Whangarei), who won the title for the second year in succession.

CHAMPION HONOURED FUNCTION AT ONEHUNGA Members of the Auckland Bowling Centre and many tournament and club champions assembled at the Orphans' Hall, Onehunga, on Saturday evening in honour of F. Livingstone, 1936 Dominion singles champion. Among thoßu present were Sir Frederic Lang, Mr. R. Sheath, past president of the Dominion Bowling Association, and representatives of the following clubs:—Papatoetoe. Clevedon, Manurewa, Epsom, Mangere, Balmoral, Otahuhu, Kemuera, Grey Lynn, Ellerslie, West End, Ponsonby, Te Papapa, Auckland. The function, organised by the Onehunga Bowling Club, of which Livingstone is a member, was presided over by the olub's president, Mr. 8. Vella. In proposing the toast of the evening Mr. A. E. Whjtten, president of the Auckland Centre, paid a high tribute to Livingstone's prowess as a bowler. The fine spirit in which he played the came, said Mr. Whitten, had earned him the esteem of howlers throughout the Dominion. Mr. Whitten referred to the runner-up in the Dominion singles championship, C. E. Hardley, expressing the pleasure felt by Auckland bowlers in being bo worthily represented at the national tournament. Mr. Livingstone, in reply, said that his hardest game was ngHinst Hardley in the final, and it was only by good fortune that he secured the honours. Items were contributed by Mr. C. Suisted. Mr. T.
