MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS

The Hon. P. C. Webb, Minister of Mines, arrived in Auckland from Te Arolia on Saturday evening, accompanied bv the Under-secretary for Mines, Mr. A. Tynda.ll. Ihe Minister, who is at the Station Hotel, will receive deputations in tie ministerial rooms at the Chief Post Office to-day, and will leave to-morrow morning for Whangarei and Hikurangi, for the purpose of inquiring into various problems connected with the northern coal-mining industry. He expects to return on 'Wednesday evening and to leave immediately for Wellington. Mr. Webb will begin his first official visit of several days to the Thames and Coromandel districts on Monday of next week.
