♦ ALBERTA'S EXPERIMENT FINANCIAL CRISIS REACHED (Eeceiyed February 28, 7.15 p.m.) . EDMONTON. Feb. 27 Alberta's experiment in social credit reached a' crisis to-day when the Provincial Legislature was adjourned until March 2 without passing the legislation necessary to make the plan operative. Of- the many problems facing the Government the budgetary one is the most difficult. The probable deficit at March 31 is estimated at 9„00Q,000 dollars. Some of the Government's financial ad risers insist on a wages tax, in addition to high income taxes, in order to balance the Budget, but such a levy on wages is opposed by the proponents <©f social oredit.
