Motor-cycling MURIWAI BEACH MEETING
SUCCESS OF J. DALE An excellent beach meeting was held fLt Muriwai on Sunday by the Auckland Motor-cycle Club, there being an attendance of between 400 and 500 spectators. Some fast times were recorded and there were a number of close finishes. The outstanding rider of the day was J. Dale, who secured three firsts and a second.

Acton Cup for 350 c.c.: W. White (Velocetto), 1; L. McLaren (A.J.S.), 2; H. Scott (Humber), 3. Artillery Cup, 10 miles, sidechairs only: M. Marrett (8.5.A.), 1. Skeates Cup: J. Mander (J.A.P.), 1; L. Perry (J.A.P.), 2; W. White (Velocette), 3. Hookway Cup, 10 miles J. Dale (Rudge), 1 J. Mander (J.A.P.), 2; C. Goldfinch (Norton), 3. McLaren Cup, for private owners only: J. Dale (Rudge), 1; M. Melhuish (J.A.P.), 2; H. Matthews (Rudge), 3. Five Milos Open Handicap: J. Dale (Rudge), scr., 1; Melhuish (J.A.P.), 10s„ .2; L. iSowcrby (Norton), 55., 3. Having won the Acton Cup event for the fifth year in succession, W. White wins the cup outright. The club will hold a secret destination pillon ]brial from the clubrooms tomorrow morning. Feminine pillion riders must be carried.
