USE FOR OLD QUILTS
White honeycomb quilts with fringed edges feature in the background of very many linen cupboards. It is doubtful whether they will ever bo used again as they are, b"t they, too, can be cut up into useful articles, such ns runners and cushion-covers. When they are dyed a gay colour —and it is much easier to dye a runner than it is a whole quilt—and bound with furnishing braid, they look really charming. A larger piece, dyed a delicate pastel shade and bound with ribbon, would make a delightful pram-cover or cot-quilt, and if you do not need these for your own family, you always know of a baby for whom you want an original gift.
