ROUNDSMEN'S DISPUTE
NO SETTLEMENT REACHED No progress was made yesterday in the Conciliation Council proceedings in the dispute between the Auckland Milk Vendors' Association and the Auckland Milk Roundsmen's Union, the state of deadlock between the two parties remaining unchanged. The Conciliation Commissioner, Mr. P. Hallv, presided at the council. The points in dispute are those connected with the payment of commission to the roundsmen. It was suggested by the employers at the afternoon sitting of the council that the matters in dispute be referred to the Arbitration Court. However, the employees' assessors objected to this procedure. It is not known when next conference will be held.
