PRESBYTERIAN ACTIVITIES Steady progress in numerous good works was recorded ijj, the annual report presented at a recent board meeting of the Auckland Presbyterian Orphanages and Social Service Association. Leslie Home was visited for the purpose of entertaining the children, and mnny of tho children spent three weeks nt the Y.W.C.A. camp at Blockhouse Bay. Twenty-eight, boys enjoyed six weeks' holiday at Mahurangi Heads and a number have been established on good farms. Avoca House was proving popular among working men. Sister Esther reported that the Christmas appeal for funds was not as successful as last year, but toys and food were distributed to a large number, and 126 Christmas dinners wer*s served. Relief supplies were given to many applicants and numerous orphanages and homes, including Knox Home and St. Joseph's Convent, Waikowhai, were visited.
