MEMORY FOR NAMES

HEADMASTER'S FACULTY A remarkable memory for names is possessed by Mr. A. N. Bowden, retiring headmaster of the Remuera School, who was farewelled at a gathering at the school yesterday. Mr. Bowden is able to address by Christian name nearly every former pupil whom he might meet. He is cenorally able to remember the surname, too. As Mr. Bowden has been in-tho teaching profession for the greater part of half a century, this is no mean achievement.
