THE BRITISH BUDGET
BUOYANCY OF REVENUE SET-OFF TO EXPENDITURE (Received February 27, 5.5 p.m.) E'ritisli WireleßS RUGBY, Feb. 26 - The newspapers consider that, in spite of supplementary grants, amounting to £20,000,000, for expenditure, Britain's balance-sheet for the current year, which ends on March 31, will make a satisfactory showing. Revenue is still flowing in well and the estimates of the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, are likely to be exceeded. Although expenditure to date is nearly £19,500,000 higher than nt the corresponding stage in 1934-35, the gap between current revenue and expenditure is only £10,051,489, against £21,091,338 a year ago
