GARDEN PARTY
INSTITUTE FOR THE BUND ROTARIANS ENTERTAINED A garden party was given yesterday afternoon in honour of the delegates to the New Zealand Rotary District Conference by the chairman and hoard of trustees of the New Zealand Institute for tho Blind. The gardens at the institute woro looking particularly lovely after tho recent rain. The guests wandered through the grounds, and after tea' tlioy were taken on a tour of inspection of the workshops, library and Bledisloe House. They showed much interest in the work of the residents. On arrival the guests were received by tho chairman of tho board of trustees, Mr. A. J. Hutchinson, and the director, Sir Clutha Mackenzie. They were accompanied by Mrs. Hutchinson, who wore a frook of navy blue and white spotted georgette and a navy hat, and by Lady Mackenzie, who wore navy and white spotted crepe and a navy hat. Items on the pipe organ were given by the Rev. E. Chitty, and by Miss C. Whiteford. Selections by the institute band also were enjoyed.
