PRICES OF METALS SHARP RISE IN TIN (Received February 27. 7.35 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 2G Following are ito-day's quotations on the London metal market, compared with those of February 25: —

M.K. MILLINERY £5494 EARNED IN HALF-YEAR Satisfactory results are disclosed in the accounts of the M.K. Millinery, Limited, covering six months' trading operations ended December 31. The business lias been in operation since 19,'i0 but the public company has been in existence only since July 1, 1935. The net profits for the six months were £5494, after writing off £323 preliminary expenses. A dividend of 10 per cent is being paid, requiring £2000; £1607 is being written off goodwill; £I6OO transferred to reserve a*id the balance, £287, carried forward. The directors state that they do not require remuneration for their services for the period. The report states that the turnover for the coming year shows a marked increase over the turnover of the old com pan v for the same period of last vear. The net profit for the six months, before providing for income tax, was nearly 37 per cent of the subscribed capital. The period cohered was the most profitable of the year. The company has a paid capital ot £20.000. The only intangible asset is goodwill, £6107,' now reduced to £4500.
