THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE • WEAKNESS IN INSURANCES There «as a fair turnover of business at the single call on the Auckland gtock Exchange on Saturday, most sales being in Zealand issues. Banks And Government loans were inactive. Inquiry improved for some of the banks, notably - Australasias and Reserves. Reserves were wanted at £5 16s, a rise of Is, which is the first uplift for some time. The weaker tendency in insurances was reflected in business. South British dropped Is in a sale at P3s 6d, and J\"ew Zealands were 3d cheaper at 63s 3d. Wilsons Cement showed a further recovery, a parcel '.-hanging hands at 42s 9d after a late sale on the previous day 3d lower ar 12s. Northern Roller Mills continued to recede and a transfer at ■26s registered a fall of Is. GoldsbroughMorts were fractionally cheaper at 32s jfld, while Renown Coals moved up slightly. Other sales were made at curTent • values.
