POWER BOARD NOTICES TITAITEMATA ELECTRIC • POWER VV BOARD. NOTICE OF PROPOSED LOAN. In the matter of " Tho Electric-Power Ecards Act, 1925," "The Local Boards Loans Act, 1926," and Amendments and Regulations made thereunder respectively, the WAITEMATA ELECTRIC - POWER BOARD, a body corporate duly constituted tinder the provisions of " The ElectricPower Boards Act, 1925," hereby gives notice in .terms of " Tho Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,'" that it proposes to raise a Special Loan of £IOO.OOO (one hundred thousand pounds) for the following purposes:— For the purpose ot purchasing. constructing and providing eleciric workß ns defined in " The Electric-Power Boards Act, 1925." in order to supply and to extend the Rupply of electricity within the whole of tho Wailoniala Electric-Power District. (a) For'tho purpose of securing tho repayment of the said Special Loan, a special annually-recurring rate of 9/04 ths (nino sixty-fourths, of a penny in tho £ will be made and levied upon the rateable value (oa tho basis of the capital value) of nil the rateable property within tho whole of 'the Waitemntft Electric-Power District. (b) The term for which the said loan or finy part thereof may be borrowed shall bo 25 (twenty-five) years (c) The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, ehall bo repaid by equal aggregate annual or halfyearly instalments extending over tho term 83 determined in (b) nhove. (d) No portion of interest or sinking fund or any costs, charges, or expenses incurred in raising tho loan will bo paid out of tho loan monies. (e) In respect of the works to be undertaken from the loan herein sanctioned, guarantees as prescribed in Clause 21-43 of the Eledrical Supply Regulations. 1935. thall first be given in favour of the Power Board for payments amounting in each of not less than five consecutive years from the completion of such works of nt least 15 per cent (fifteen per centum) of the estimated capital cost thereof. (Section 118 authorises the Board to instal motors, electric wires, elecjrio lamps, and other fittings, and equipment, in public or private buildings, works, dwellings, and other places, and to accept payment therefor by instalments.) _ '. . (a) For the purpose of securing the repayment of the said Special Loan, a special annually-recurring rate of 9-256ths (nine two hundred and fifty-sixths) of a penny in tho pound will be made and levied upon th& rateable value (on the baeis of the capital value) of all the rateable property within the whole of the Waitemata ElectncPower District. (b) The term lor which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 10 (ten) years. (c) The said loan or any part thereof, together .with interest thereon, shall be repaid by equal ".'aggregate annual or halfyearly instalments extending over the term as determined in (b) above. , . "Ratepayer" as defined in the ''Electric-Power Boards Act, 1925," means a person whose name appears for tho time being in tho occupiers' column in the valuation roll.
