Bringing to New Zealanders n romantic form of entertainment dating back for many years, this year's circus contains many new and spectacular acts that should appeal to both young and old. It has been said that, excepting the celebrated Rongling Brothers' Bar num and Bailey Circus, in the United States, Wirth's Circus is one of the finest in existence.
Each member of the Wirth family has been in the circus all his life, with the result that an excellent entertainment is provided. Combining novelty, thrills and variety, the programme includes items by those famous gymnasts the Seven Nelsons, and the feminine acrobats the Seven de Pauls. Another team of well-known tumblers and acrobats, the Hiltons, also are seen in some clever numbers
Wirths' reputation for amazing animal acts is fully maintained in this year's programme, the items including performances by seals, elephants, Bengal tigers and greyhounds.
