ANGLERS AT TAUPO
SEVERAL GOOD CATCHES [by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] TAUPO. Friday Heavy showers of.rain over the Inst two days have made conditions uncomfortable for anglers, but those who.ventured out on the lake were rewarded with good catches yesterday. Messrs. Wallace and Gledhill, of Wellington, fishing from the launch Sunbeam, ill the western bays, landed 29 fish, one short of the limit for both rods. Th«» same party returned with 18 fish on Tuesday, making a total of 47 for the last two days. Two rods in the launch Pandora, fishing in the same locality yesterday, caught 27, and this morning Mr. 0. McLean, of Napier, caught on the fly a fine rainbow weighing 9slb. near thd wharf at the outlet. The weather shows signs of improving.
