SHIPMENTS TO BRITAIN DECREASE IN JANUARY i SEASON'S TOTAL HIGHER Shipments of butter from New Zealand in January totalled 12,968 tons, a decrease of 498 tons on January, 1935, but for the first seven months of the season shipments were 3058 tons greater at 73,524 tons. January shipments from Australia and New Zealand to the United Kingdom were only 21,746 tons, against 29,218 tons in January, 1935. BUTTER MARKET QUIET PRICES AGAIN LOWER London prices for butter are again lower and New Zealand is quoted at 92s to 93s a cwt, a drop of Is to 2s. Cheese has fallen in sympathy, white being priced at 51s to 51s 6d per cwt. and coloured at 565.
