Mrs. Vere Windsor, Glenfell Road, Epsom, is spending a short holiday at Rotorua. Mrs. Morris Yock, of Brighton Road, Parnell, has returned from a visit to Wellington. Mrs. 0. Bailey, of Epsom, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. W. R. Dobbs, at Great Barrier. Mrs. Victor Usher, of Heme Bay, has returned from a camping holiday at Beachlands.

Mrs. G. Hartshorn, Princes Street, left by the Aorangi last night to take up her residence in Melbourne.

Miss Cecil Upton, Remuera Road, who has been the guest of Miss Joan Reeves, of Kawau, has returned home.

Mrs. A. de Jongh, who, with her husband and children, has been staying at Hotel Titirangi, left on her return to Australia by the Aorangi last night.

Mrs. Horace Scott, of Cheltenham, left yesterday by motor-car for Wanganui, where she will be the guest of Mrs. Arthur Munro for two or three weeks.

Mrs. Norman Chapman, of Remuera, who has suffered a severe illness, left by the Aorangi last night for a holiday in Australia. She was accompanied by her mother, Mrs. J. Telfer, who has been in New Zealand for nearly three months.

The first meeting for the year of the Remuera branch of the Auckland Methodist Women's Missionary Auxiliary was held last week. Mrs. ToddSmith presided. The speaker, Mrs. McBean, gave an account of the auxiliary conference held at New Plymouth.

Miss Buckleton has been studying beauty culture ever since she arrived in England and now she is taking an intensive course with a specialist in matters of health as associated with beauty.

Two prospective brides have recently loft England for New Zealand, wrote our London correspondent on January 25. One is Miss Freda Amos, of Rhyl, North Wales, who is to be married to Dr. Maurico J. Kelly, of Raglan. Miss Amos is a graduate of the University College of North Wales, Bangor. It was while cruising in the Mediterranean a year or two ago that she met Dr. Kelly, then ship's surgeon on the holiday liner. The other is Miss Elsie Priest, of' Liverpool, who is to marry Mr. J. Cadenhead, of Christchurch, whom she met while orn holiday at. the Isle of Man 18 months ago.
