THE PIRATE SHIP

"Farmyard Frolic" was the name given to the well-attended old-time dance carnival held at the Pirate Ship, Milford, on Saturday night. As usual the decorations were both appropriate and original. Gaily-coloured hens scurried across the front of the stage and cut-out pigs and calves ambled at the sides. Ducks and geese were arranged on the cubicles, while more birds were suspended from the ceiling and two cut-out cows guarded the stairway. Balloons and cut-out ducks wero ' distributed among the guests, and novelty dances and Monte Carlos wero introduced. The Peerless Pirate Six played popular old-time dance numbers.
