NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL OFFICERS FOR ENSUING YEAR The New Zealand Croq.net Council's annunl championship was held in PalmerBton North, over 20 players (joins: down from Auckland for this event. The annual meeting, held on the day previous to the opening of the foursomes, was well attended by delegates from all over New Zenland. The following officers were elected: —President, Captain F. L. Hartnell: vioePTceidents, Mrs. B. J. Hamilton, Mr. R. W. McCreath; hon. secretary, Mrs. W. 'P. Austin: assistant hon. secretary, Mrs. W. E. Caldow; handicappcr, Mrs, G. B Bartlett; referee, Mr. A. G. P. Ross; treasurer, Mrs. W. 1. Austin; selection committee, Captain Hartnell. Mrs. Bartlett. Mr. Boss; editor for Gazette, Mrs. R. Williams. An honorarium of £SO wa's voted to the hon. secretary and £25 to the assistant hon. secretary. Auckland applied for the North Island tournament and albo for the New Zealand Croquet Council's Mallets competition to be held in 11)37, also for the Dominion tournament in 1940.
