THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE 1 • INDUSTRIAL issues active I i ' Activity in industrials was a feature of the single call on the Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday morning. With a.few isolated weaknesses, the general tendency was firmer. Bank of New Zealand shares were weaker, nnd dropped .'3d to 49s 3d. Levels for other banks were steady, hut there were no sales. Government loans ami insurances wore not wanted. A gain of 6d was made in Westport Coal, levels rising to 2.'ls Gd. Auckland Gas and Kauri Timber were both slightly stronger. Anthony Horderns registered an increase of 4d. Prices for Colonial Sugars dropped 15s nnd a transfer was made at £l2 15s. Farmers' 'trading were lifted ldj but Farmery Fertiliser were secured 4d cheaper. Milling shares remained at receut low levels and a parcel of Northern Roller 31 ills were transferred unchanged. In the first sale since August last year, AYoolworths (N.Z.), second

preference, lost 2s.
