SERVICES IN FLOOD

A.A. PATROL IN NORTH The services of Mr. J. Skow, northern patrol officer of the A.A. in assisting motorists to negotiate the flooded road at Kawakawa have been greatly appreciated by tho motorists concerned, writes the Hebald correspondent. When the water on this road was very high last week, several motorists had their cars carried across the gap during the morning on a large lorry engaged for the purpose. By the afternoon, Mr. Skow was able to tow or pilot many motorists through the flooded area, and his services were very favourably commented upon by all concerned.
