I TRAVEL club meeting r Although it is now over 20 years since •jjiss Bobertson was a teacher in a '•mission school in New Guinea, the pas'sace of time has not effaced two un'forgettable years she spent with the people on that,, vast island. This was clearly proved in the address she delivered to members of the Rotorua Travel Club this week. After giving a brief geographical description of the island, Miss Robertson outlined a little of the early history of New Guinea, the 'occupations of the inhabitants, and 'their customs, together with her pergonal experiences during the two years she was in residence. Newson, of Pukuatna Street, ifcas returned from a holiday visit to JTaupo. , Mrs. .T. Huker, who has been spending a holiday in Rotorua, has returned to her home in' Wanganui. Mrs. McKenzie, of Dunedin, is the 'guest of her sister, Mrs. J. O'Brien, of [Whakaue Street. Mrs. G. H. French, Pukuatua Street, has returned from a visit to Auckland. Mrs. Owen Quinn, of Auckland, is Visiting Rotorua. She is at the Geyser Hotel. Mrs. L. J. Bayfield, of the Chateau. 5s the guest of Mrs. C. Hitchcock, Pukuatua Street." Mrs. W, C. Ring, of Himiera, was fe visitor to Rotorua for the races. Mrs. H. Hanson, of Wellington, is 'the guest of her daughter, Mrs. E. Lynne Barker, Ranolf Avenue. "Mrs. E.
