TRAVEL CLUB TEA
An enjoyable time was spent by members of the Auckland Travel Club yesterday, when they held their weekly morning tea at Milne and Choyce's Reception Hall. The opportunity was taken to bid farewell to Lady SinclairLockhart, a valued member of the committee, who will leave this month to visit England. Mrs. Victor Macky, the honorary director, on behalf of the members, presented Lady Lockhart with a carved Maori casket which enclosed a letter of appreciation from the club. Miss Hinemoa Rosieur, the New Zealand singet and winner of the Melba Scholarship, sang three charming songs. She was accompanied by Miss Kathleen O'Leary. The speaker for the morning was Mr. W. J. Hampton Reynolds, who spoke on " The City of the Plains and Canterbury." Floral shoulder sprays were presented to Lady Lockhart, Mrs. W. J. Reynolds, Miss Rosieur and Miss J. Shore, of Blackpool, England.
