CRICKET
ANNUAL LADIES' MATCH AUCKLAND AND WELLINGTON The annual ladies' representative cricket match between Auckland and Wellington for the Hallyhurton Johnstone Shield will be commenced at Eden Park this afternoon at two o'clock. The game will be concluded on Monday. Included in both teams are New Zealand representative players, who competed against the English ladies' team last season, and it is anticipated that a high standard of play will be revealed. The visiting side is a solid combination, powerful in both batting anckjiowling. but the Auckland team is expected to provide strong opposition. The teams are as follows: —
Wellington.—Misses G. Pickering (captain), H. Buck, D. Hatcher, T. Sampson, B. Holmes. N. Sheridan, A. Ell, J. Sten berg, D. Simons, O. Whitelaw, V. Taylor, J. Aitken.
Auckland.—Misses N. A. Browne (captain). E. Page. J. Page, T. Bond. C. Lynch, M. Koefoed. J. Beaumont. E. Smithyman, M. Whitelaw, G. Lowe, J. Riddolls, N. Ham mond.
