The vehicle was travelling to Herne Bay by way of Cox's. Creek Bridge, the boy being in the front seat. Just as the car got to the foot of the hill after crossing the bridge, the vehicle pulled to the left, and witness could not pull it back. The car continued to swerve, and witness recalled hitting something. . "My next recollection after that was the car being stopped on the footpath, with me clinging to the steering wheel, he added. The body was ripped oil: the chassis, and deceased was found near the car body,. lying unconscious in a water table. Reginald Ambrose Fraser Pawson, a witness of the accident, said the car appeared to be travelling at about 25 miles an hour. The vehicle appeared to drop on the left-hand side, the resultant list seeming to drag the car to the left and causing it to strike a telegraph pole. Stating it appeared that the condition of the vehicle, which was a 1920 model, might have caused the accident, the coroner returned a verdict that deceased died from injuries received while a passenger in a motor-car which struck a telegraph pole and was wrecked.
