MOUNT LYELLS UNCHANGED SALE OF BIG RIVERS In the mining market on the Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday Mount Lyells were transferred at the current price, 235. In the first sale this year. Big Rivers showed no change at 2s. Closing quotations were:—

' INTERIM DIVIDEND PALMER, COLLINS, WHITAKER Palmer, Collins and Whitaker, Limited, travel goods manufacturers, of Auckland, has advised the Auckland Stock Exchange that interim dividends of 8 per cent on ordinary shares and 5 3-5 per cent on preference shares have been declared for the half-year ended December 31, 1935. The dividend •will be payable on February 10. ELDER, SMITH, COMPANY HIGHER INTERIM DIVIDEND [BX TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Saturday The Stock Exchange Association has been advised by Elder, Smith and Company, Limited, Adelaide, that an interim dividend at the rate of 6 per cent per annum has been declared for the half-year ended December 31. Payment will be made on March 2. Last year the company paid 5 per cent, in 1934 6 per cent, and in 1933 4J per cent. Dividends of 4 per cent were paid in the three previous years. The company has pastoral interests in Australia.
