MOTOR-CAR OVERTURNS

DRIVER'S EYE INJURED MISHAP AT HENDERSON As a result of spectacles he was wearing being broken when the car ha was driving left the road aqd overturned near Henderson last evening, an aircraftsman at Hobsonville air base, Mr Sheldon Benton Smith, aged 21, suffered an injury to an eye. With a companion, Mr. Sqiith was travelling from Hobsonville to Auckland along Lincoln Road, Henderson, when the car skidded -and overturned a£ter tearing the road. Mr. bmith was centered to the Auckland Hospital in a> St. John ambulance, his condition being reported last night as not serious. His companion was not injured. The car, a roadster model, was damaged extensively.
